Another Source’s client, Sabey Corporation, is recruiting a Senior Project Manager to join their team.  This position will be based out of the Seattle, WA headquarters.

Sabey Corporation is a 45 year-old privately held Seattle based full-service commercial real estate company with an outstanding reputation.  The Company is primarily engaged in data center, office, and industrial property development, construction and operations with ownership in the Pacific Northwest and on the east coast.   

 

Is this job for me? 

This position is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from start to finish. The Senior Project Manager is also responsible for determining the budget for projects and monitoring the project for potential cost saving opportunities. This position reports to the Director of Construction and works closely with a variety of subcontractors.   

This position will work with major projects in multiple states such as Washington, Virginia, and Texas, which will require the ability to travel and spend focused periods of time in these locations. 

 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Managing multiple large complex critical infrastructure construction projects. 
  • In-depth knowledge of complex electrical and mechanical systems including UPS systems, stand-by power, thermodynamics, air psychometrics, and energy conservation. 
  • Developing and managing detailed budgets and schedules from preliminary concept plans 
  • Knowledge of FM Global process, standards and building codes. 
  • Ability to cost estimate complex projects  
  • Identify cost saving opportunities throughout the project management process. 
  • Managing and supervising multiple design partners, contractors, and trades. 
  • Experience with commissioning and integrated testing of complex systems and processes 
  • Developingreviewing, implementing, and enforcing Methods of Procedures (MOPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all critical work activities. 
  • Conducting design and construction meetings with external professional, internal Sabey Construction/Corporation employees, and external Sabey Construction/Corporation customers. 
  • Collaborate with both external professionals and Sabey personnel. 
  • Managing bid processes, negotiating change orders, and processing applications for payments. 
  • Ensuring a safe work environment at all times.   
  • Support and collaborate with Director of Construction 
  • Embody the Sabey Core Values 
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

What will make you successful: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university OR equivalent and directly related experience 
  •  8-10 years of Project Management experience in building infrastructure 
  •  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Project, and Blue Beam  
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to work both in a team environment and independently 
  • People management skills – ability to set clear expectations, review progress, provide feedback, and hold others accountable 
  • Ability to perform routine site visits  
  • Ability to negotiate contracts  
  • Ability to interact with all levels of Sabey employees and subcontractors 
  • Ability to interface with technology efficiently
