Another Source’s client, Sabey Data Center Properties, is recruiting a Data Center Business Development Representative to join their team in Ashburn, VA.

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a key member of the Sabey Data Center Sales & Leasing Team, focused on direct and indirect sales and marketing responsibilities. Part of the Strategic Alliances & Channels team, the BDR will work strategically with all members of the organization to drive sales/leasing activity and to achieve corporate sales/leasing goals. Key activities will include lead generation and outreach (email and cold-calling), partner/channel outreach and relationship management, opportunity pursuit, outbound marketing, account management, supporting RFP submissions, trade show support, and special projects. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing organizations to develop and execute sales and marketing campaigns to generate new leads and opportunities. Activities could include: 
  • Executing outreach through cold calls and emails 
  • Identifying, contacting, adding, and managing new partners and channels into Sabey’s ecosystem 
  • Supporting tradeshows and local tech events 
  • Coordinating and executing Sabey Hosted Events 
  • Work with Leasing Managers, Directors and Vice Presidents on data center sales opportunities as well as supporting Account and Contract Management with existing customers 
  • Support Data Center tours and meetings through scheduling, material development/distribution, taking notes as appropriate and hospitality coordination  
  • Work directly with other Sabey divisions (Construction, Architecture, Marketing) to collaborate and share deal information regarding SDC opportunities and initiatives as needed 



  • Must demonstrate both a passion for technology and real estate, and a strong aptitude for business strategy. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with other internal teams, customers, partners, and stakeholders. 
  • Strong organizational, project management and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced, self-directed, entrepreneurial environment. 
  • Strong decision making, problem solving and creative thinking skills a must. 



  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience. 
  • Highly proficient computer skills including Salesforce, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
