About this role
The Data Center Operations Technician is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of a 24/7 data center campus that includes both technical and administrative spaces. The facility features state-of-the-art redundant power and environmental systems, requiring attention to detail, strong situational awareness, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Reporting to the Data Center Assistant Operations Manager, this role works closely with technicians, engineers, and external partners to maintain uptime, respond to alarms, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure a clean, safe, and well-organized operating environment.
This role is well suited for someone with general maintenance or technical aptitude who wants to build a long-term career in data center operations with exposure to critical infrastructure and clear paths for advancement.
Your contribution will likely be
Experience you will bring to the team
High School diploma or GED required
General maintenance experience or demonstrated technical aptitude
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize in a 24/7 environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, with the ability to learn new systems
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to respond to on-call situations
Curiosity and willingness to learn emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools
Work environment and physical requirements
Ability to work swing shifts and night shifts, this role will have an 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am shift after the first 90 days of training.
Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds
Ability to operate power tools
Ability to interface with digital tools and monitoring systems
Ability to build strong working relationships with Sabey employees, vendors, and partners

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $48,235-$72,352.
