Another Source’s client, Sabey Data Centers is recruiting an Entry Level Maintenance Technician to join their team in Quincy, WA.  

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8 am – 4 pm. Once fully trained, schedule with change to either Sundays - Thursdays or Tuesdays - Saturdays

About the role: 

The Data Center Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and optimal performance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems within the data center facility. This role plays a critical part in maintaining environmental conditions conducive to data center operations. The work will be completed outdoors in all weather conditions.  We are looking for self-starters and motivated team players.  HVAC technicians will be asked to perform other duties as assigned.   

What you will be doing: 

HVAC Equipment Cleaning:  

• Conduct thorough cleaning of HVAC equipment, including air handling units, ductwork, filters, coils, fans, and condensers.  

• Utilize appropriate cleaning techniques, tools, and materials to remove dust, debris, and contaminants that may affect HVAC system efficiency.  

Filter Replacement:  

• Replace air filters in accordance with maintenance schedules to ensure proper air quality and system performance.  

• Keep a record of filter replacements and maintain an inventory of replacement filters.  

Condenser and Coil Maintenance:  

• Inspect and clean condenser coils to enhance the efficiency of air conditioning systems.  

• Perform routine maintenance on evaporator and condenser coils to prevent issues caused by dirt and debris buildup.  

Ventilation System Maintenance:  

• Clean and maintain ventilation components, including ductwork and exhaust systems.  

• Ensure that ventilation systems are free from obstructions and operate efficiently to maintain airflow and temperature control.  

Documentation and Records:  

• Maintain accurate records of HVAC cleaning and maintenance activities, including schedules and logs.  

• Generate reports to document HVAC equipment status, maintenance history, and compliance with maintenance protocols.  

Collaboration and Support:  

• Collaborate with data center operations teams to ensure that HVAC cleaning and maintenance align with data center environmental and operational requirements.  

• Provide support during equipment installations, upgrades, and projects involving HVAC systems.  

Safety and Compliance:  

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper handling of HVAC equipment and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).  

• Promote a culture of safety within the data center environment and report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions.  

• Ability to work independently.  

• Requires basic knowledge of hand tools.  

• High School Diploma

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $41,911 - $58,676 DOE
